About Aurivian

More and more of our work happens in someone else's cloud. Convenient, until the terms change, the price goes up, or your data suddenly turns out to sit on the other side of the world. We believe it can be different: a complete, modern workplace that works just as easily, but which you keep in your own hands.

Aurivian did not start as a sales pitch, but as a working environment. Before we offered the platform to clients, we put our own business on it: our email, our documents, our phone system, our invoicing, and this website itself. Every update you receive has run on our own environment first. If something pinches, we feel it before you do.

Aurivian was founded and is run by Sina and Haroon Wahed. There are two of us, and that is a deliberate choice: you speak to the people who built your environment and manage it every day, not a rotating team or a helpdesk that does not know your office. Being small here means short lines and personal responsibility. And because you rightly wonder what happens if a small provider falls away: your environment runs on open software, is documented, and your data and hardware are yours — so you can always take over the operation yourself or via another party. Your office keeps running, even without us. Here is how we arranged that.

We build and manage one standardised platform of open software: Nextcloud, Collabora and related programs used by millions of people worldwide, including European governments. Deliberately one platform and no custom sprawl: we can only stand behind what we know inside out. We test updates on our own environment first, our monitoring reports outages before you notice them, and an encrypted backup runs every night with a tested restore procedure.

For offices where confidentiality is not an afterthought: lawyers and civil-law notaries, accountants and bookkeeping firms, starting firms that want things right from day one, and any SME team that wants its workplace back in its own hands.
